China Life × Dr. J | AI Early Disease Screening Training Held at Shenzhen Headquarters

On May 21, the Dr. J team visited the Shenzhen headquarters of China Life to conduct a specialized training program on AI Carotid Plaque Screening and AI Breast Cancer Screening for frontline health management professionals. The training aimed to prepare participants for a series of upcoming health screening initiatives through a structured and systematic learning experience.

This training program reflects the growing integration of insurance-based health services with AI-powered medical imaging technologies, while also providing new opportunities for expanding accessible health screening services at the community level.

As one of China’s leading insurance and health management service providers, China Life has continued to explore innovative models that combine insurance services with medical technology. Through digital solutions and artificial intelligence, the company aims to make preventive healthcare and early screening services more convenient and accessible to a broader population.

The training focused on two key areas:

AI Carotid Plaque Screening

Leveraging AI-assisted ultrasound technology, the system enables rapid identification of carotid plaque risk, providing valuable support for the early risk assessment and management of stroke and cardiovascular diseases.

AI Breast Cancer Screening

Breast ultrasound examinations have traditionally relied heavily on operator experience, often resulting in variations in screening quality and consistency.

The Dr. J AI Breast Screening System addresses these challenges through advanced artificial intelligence capabilities, including:

  • Real-time scan trajectory tracking
  • Missed-area detection and rescan guidance
  • Automatic lesion identification
  • Intelligent risk assessment
  • Automated structured report generation

By implementing comprehensive quality control throughout the scanning process, the system helps improve standardization and consistency, particularly in primary healthcare settings and large-scale screening programs.

The training was delivered through a combination of live demonstrations, hands-on equipment practice, and interactive Q&A sessions. Participants completed practical workflow exercises and gained firsthand experience with the screening systems.

Following the training, China Life and Dr. J plan to jointly launch a VIP Health Screening Program in Shenzhen in June, further promoting the application of AI-powered early screening technologies within health management and preventive care services.

As AI continues to transform healthcare delivery, collaborations between insurance providers and medical technology innovators are creating new pathways for early detection, disease prevention, and proactive health management.
